Andrew Bud is the Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of mBlox Inc., the world’s largest mobile transaction network. Last year mBlox processed 3.5 billion application-to-person SMS messages and premium payments worth $500m on behalf of enterprises worldwide, and is a market leader in the United States, Europe and APAC. He is also the Global Chair of the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), the industry body representing the value chain supplying this $35 billion global market.

Bud also serves as a non-executive director of several companies and initiatives, and in 2009-10 chaired Bloomberg NEF’s Consortium on Digital Energy. From 2005-2008 he was a Board director of PhonepayPlus, the agency of UK regulator Ofcom. During his career, Andrew was one of the founders of Omnitel in Italy (now Vodafone Italia) where, as Olivetti’s Head of Mobile, he led the technical design. He chaired several committees for ETSI, and built Europe’s first wireless LAN business. His early background was in nuclear engineering.

Dietmar Dahmen

Dietmar Dahmen has over 20 years of advertising in Hamburg, Los Angeles, Munich, New York, Vienna. He started out as a strategic planner, and rapidly became a highly decorated creative, in roles that included Creative Director at DDB, Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy and Chief Creative Officer at BBDO. Dietmar now works as a creative consultant, with an emphasis on marketing and digital trends and solutions.

Dahmen teaches contemporary communication at various universities, including the Film-Academy Ludwigsburg (winning 14 times gold with his students at YDA, Cannes) and EDCOM, the educational arm of the European Association of Communication Agencies. Dahmen is a member of both the Creative Club in Austria and the Art Directors Club in Germany.

Orhan Göksal

Orhan Göksal is a board member of the Acibadem Telehealth Project, Turkey. He is an advisor to chairman/board of companies in internet, health, banking, IT and retail industries. He started his career at Birks & Sons Ltd, Montreal, Canada in 1985. Since returning to Turkey, he has held technology executive positions in Irving Trust-Tutunbank, Finansbank, TurkishTourismBank, Interbank and, Intertech.

Göksal is a board member of subsidiaries of Turkcell, the leading GSM provider in Turkey. He later acted as CEO of the communication/internet business unit of Dogan Group. He holds a B.Sc degree in Management with concentration on MIS from Middle East Technical University.

Rafi Haladjian

A semiologist by training he accidentally fell in networked devices and online services more than 25 years ago and never left this playground. From the French Minitel in the 80’s, to the very first Internet company in France (FranceNet) in the 90’s, or Ozone the community based Wi-Fi rooftop mesh network of Paris, rafi created a dozen companies. In 2003 he founded one of the world’s first Internet of Things startups, Violet, famous for its iconic product, Nabaztag the connected rabbit.

Since September 2009, with his last venture, sen.se, he goes further in his exploration of how connected objects and environments can make the world more meaningful.

Having graduated from Istanbul Technical University Textile Engineering Department in 1994, Cicek Uyansoy Ican got an MBA degree from Texas Tech University, specializing in marketing. She started her professional career as Export Manager at GON Leather Products.

In September 2000, she joined Nokia Turkey, and assumed several roles such as Account Manager, Channel Manager, Marketing Manager and Head of Sales. Since April, 2011 Çiçek Uyansoy İcan carries out her duty as the General Manager of Nokia Turkey since 2011. Cicek Uyansoy Ican is married with a son.

Tomonori Kagaya

An entrepreneur working on cutting-edge technology brain controlled interfaces and sensors, including TIME’s Top Invention “necomimi”. [more][hide]

Tomonori Kagaya’s team, known as the “neurowear” team, is tasked with the mission to create new experiences in the communications area using bio sensing technologies. His latest work is “necomimi”, a project that was selected as one of TIME Magazine’s Top 50 Inventions of 2011, which are a pair of bionic cat ears. “necomimi” is the world’s first commercialized neuro headset that utilizes bio information to express the users feelings.

Kagaya is now focused on a new product called the “Neuro Headphone”. The first of its kind, the product allows “music serendipity” and frees the user from having to select “songs” and “artists” allowing them to encounter new music just by wearing the device. It made its debut at SXSW 2013. Tomo has also co-authored a book called “Smartphone Communication” in 2011 that explained smartphone and apps usage and forecasted many of the trends seen today.

Will Page is the Director of Economics at Spotify, the digital music service. He was previously the Chief Economist at PRS for Music, where he published pioneering work on the Long Tail, Equity and Radiohead’s In Rainbows – where he famously asked if legal free could compete with illegal free.

Since joining Spotify, he has presented new insights on how access to music affects cultural diversity, as well as analysing Spotify’s success in The Netherlands and it’s impact on music piracy. His economic insights have been covered in the Financial Times, The Economist and all major broadsheets and blogs. To date, Spotify has launched in 28 countries around the world, and recently announced 24 million active users and over 6 million paying subscribers.

Bariş Ruacan

Baris Ruacan started his professional career in 1998 as a product manager for various internet companies which produce internet based software in San Francisco before he worked as a senior product manager at SUN MICROSYSTEMS (later bought by Oracle) located in Silicon Valley between the years of 2001 – 2004. In 2004 Baris Ruacan started to work as the senior product manager at the Silicon Valley headquarters of Nokia. He was mainly responsible for the product range consisted of mobile solutions and corporate smart phones. After 8 years of experience in Silicon Valley, Baris Ruacan returned to Turkey and moved on his career within the body of Nokia Turkey in 2006 and occupied significant positions as the head of enterprise solutions for Turkey and Israel and regional division for smart devices and sales manager respectively. Worked as the Sales Manager of Nokia until 2010, Baris Ruacan setup Qualcomm’s local operations and currently carries on with his career as the General Manager of Qualcomm Turkey.

Graduated from the Middle Eastern Technical University on Civil Engineering, Baris Ruacan also holds an MBA degree from San Francisco University on Marketing and Information Technologies and a Technology Management certificate from Stanford University.

Patrice Slupowski

Patrice is a graduate in Information Science and Technology from Paris-Dauphine University.

Yaroslav Smirnov

Yaroslav Smirnov is responsible for all marketing communications for mobile internet and financial services, as well as all projects related to the youth segment and loyalty programs at MTS, the largest mobile and telecommunications services provider in Russia and CIS.

Smirnov has successfully worked with various international brands such as American Express, Microsoft, Rusal, Red Bull, Xerox and Nokia. He also has a proven track record in building youth targeted brands. Kerem Sözügecer

Before embarking on his journey to set up Shopamani, Kerem Sözügeçer was a Director at Oracle in San Francisco, managing Siebel CRM Enterprise releases with a team of 200+ people. He owned and managed the product road map for all Siebel CRM products. Prior to Oracle, he was head of product engineering at Telephony@Work in San Diego, where he was responsible for the overall performance of internal technical operations and planned/managed workload of the R&D department. In his first corporate job at GE, Kerem had designed and developed an award winning web-based “vendor information” system (eSupplier Almanac) that substantially reduced time to locate vendors and pricing info. eSupplier Almanac was later used by 35K+ employees providing savings of $1.5MM over 12 months.

An inventor and a visionary by nature, Kerem has taken his extensive experience ranging from start-ups to large-scale multinational corporations, to change the way businesses operate to reach out to their target customers. Ferhan Cook is a digital and mobile media specialist with a career that spans over 25 years of international business experience in technology marketing, international business development, content publishing and mobile trends analysis. She is the CEO of the London based Any Screen Productions ltd., an international consultancy firm on digital strategies and event design and production, and the founder of m-Spark.org, a non-profit accelerator for technology powered social businesses.

m-Spark is a virtual accelerator and a web platform for social business start-ups, that provides business and technology mentorship, and pre-angel seed funding to accelerate and amplify innovative social businesses, especially using the power of mobile. m-Spark’s international advisors and supporters include Ashoka Global and Turkey, The GSM Association Development Group, Nokia Asia, and Orange France.

Cook is also an active member of the Galata Business Angels investment group in Istanbul, where she leads the group’s start-up mentorship activities.

Ferhan Cook worked 11 years for Apple as head of multimedia in Silicon Valley and in Paris, launching Apple’s groundbreaking innovative technologies around the world during the 80′s and 90′s. She left Apple in 1994 to establish her digital agency Any Screen, where she made many successful content licensing deals for digital publishers and game developers for clients such as Burda, IBM, Hachette and Mondadori and more.
